Performative Art is questioned and reflected within the fields of staging, documentation, theory and history in the Fine Arts. The overlaps and differences between Performance in Fine art in relation to dance, theater and music are also questioned analytically. Critical and conceptual thinking is encouraged through seminars, workshops and one-to one and group tutorials.

The aim is to develop an individual process of work and a language with no medial or theoretical hindrance. Especially in Austria a project orientated course in the performative arts is relevant by the sheer historical facts alone, like the Viennese Group or the Viennese Actionism. Not to forget the unnoticed feminist and queer history of subculture, which should be taken as a context for teaching and as a research basis. Furthermore this special Viennese performative art position is questioned and compared to its international context.
